Our Baby - 7 weeks

Today I went for our 7 week ultrasound. Everything is fine. The baby is measuring right on schedule and had a great heart beat at 145 bmp.

My due date is the last week in May, 2009.

My next appointment is on 10-17.

I'll be 8weeks and 4 days then.

The baby is inside the crosshairs and is only 1.08 cm (less than half an inch) and weighs a little less than 1 gram. Basically it's the size of a tic-tac!















The placenta is the big bulge in the lower right. The umbilical cord is the gray thing sticking out to the left and the baby is in the shadows.















The babys heart is inside these two lines. The bubble to the upper right is the yolk sac.















The baby is the squishy blob at the bottom left and the yolk sac is the round thing to the upper right.

30 Miles Off Shore

We went fishing about 30 miles off shore on 8-18-2008 with our friends Chesson and Dee. She caught the 25+/- lb King Mackerel. Chesson caught 4 Red Grouper, Ryan caught 2 Red Grouper and I caught the other grouper. We had lots of fun but the boat ride was too far for me. It took us an hour to get out there and the sun never came out from behind the clouds. Like I said, we had fun, but I don't think I'll be going more than a few miles off shore. I can have just as much fun in shore as I can off shore.

Recent Yard Work

We have been in our home almost a year now and things are coming along slowly but Ryan and I managed to get some landscaping done this weekend. We are the first house in our subdivision of about 90 lots to add any sort of "higher-end" edging, if you want to call it that. LOL! Take a look at the changes.

Sandi 2-2008

Sandi was adopted from the local shelter in February. She is a 5 year old Lab mix. She is a wonderful addition to our little family. She is a very good dog. She doesn't bark, beg, or potty in the house. Every time she walks up to anyone her first action is to roll over on her back and give you her tummy to be rubbed. She would rather have someone pet her than eat, literally. We had a hard time getting her to eat when we first got her but she is comfortable with her new environment and is eating just fine.

Fishin' - October 2007

Ryan and I got up early one morning and I snapped some beautiful pictures of the sunrise.

On this day the inlet was pretty rough. Where the Bay meets the ocean the waves were really crashing so Brodie wanted me to put on. Mr. Cautious.

He's pretty excited!!!

This is Maggie. She is a friend of Ryan's. Maggie goes to work at the Station and she and Ryan play ball. Today Maggie wants to play "Throw the Fish!"

Halloween 2007

I haven't dressed up for Halloween since I was a kid and it's been a while for Ryan too. So, when my friend invited us to her daughter's Birthday/Halloween Party and costumes were mandatory, we coincidently came down with sore throats at the same time. The closer it got the the party the more my friend started pumping me up for it so we decided to go. I found this 80's style prom dress at a consignment shop for $10! What a find! Our costumes took in a life of their own from there. I turned into a Purple Witch and Ryan was a Vampire with horns. We had a great time at the party and really enjoyed dressing up this year.
